About Him
I am a normal fun loving affectionate guy who has been betrayed by the woman I loved after 22 years of marriage at a time when I needed her the most. I am always quick with a joke that will put a smile on your face but am also a hopeless romantic that will treat the woman in his life with the small gestures that really counts, like a fresh,fragrant rose out of my garden, coffee in bed every morning or a surprise dinner by candlelight cooked and served by myself with a good bottle of red wine and soft music playing in the background. Small things like a soft look filled with emotion that needs no words to convey a message or a gentle touch or kiss when you least expect it are things that are important to me in a relationship.
I believe that the word love is not a feeling, but a verb. True love is doing the little things regularly in great ways for your partner. That affects the way you feel about your partner. Sometimes you first have to give love, to feel love. That is why it is called the labour of love. The feeling of love is not something you pursue,but it is something that ensues from the way that you treat your partner.
I am crazy about music. You will always hear music playing somewhere in my house. I also love to cook, especially if my partner joins me in the kitchen, even if it is just for a glass of wine and the company. I have two sons, aged 31 and37 who are both out of the house and married. I am also the grandfather of a beautiful 2 year old little girl and an 18 month old little boy . You can climb to the top of the mountain, or look out over the sea. It's usually a beautiful scene and you'll take it all in. But if you're standing by yourself you'll always have the nagging suspicion that something is missing.
I'm not saying you need someone in your life at all times to be a happy person, but it definitely makes life that much sweeter.
